The Quick Response Neck Knife Version I
I am making a neck knife for a good friend who hunts and lives in a hostile part of Texas (10 foot long rattlers?).
I looked at many styles and models of neck knives, and have settled on this one. It feels good in the hand, and has good balance thus far.
I of course soaked the blank in acid to bring out those amazing textures my knives seem to be known by now, and when I get my new belt grinder, I will put a nice deep bevel on it.
It'll be interesting to make a Kydex sheath for it. The sheath will have to be small but tight fitting so the knife doesn't fall out. Then I will use some paracord to make it suitable for hanging around the neck.
