New Neck Knives Completed

Been busy lately. We were evacuated for almost a month, been sick and now I am trying to get back into the swing of things with some new knives.

I wanted to try my hand at something a little different and came up with this knife.

When I designed this knife, it reminded me of a fish. So I kept working at it and the idea of a Piranha came to me.

I decided this would be one of the first in a new line of knives called my 'Piranha Knife Line'.

Here's another picture of it finished.

I really like how this one turned out. Notice the unique pattern on the blade. No, it's not Damascus Steel, but acid etching. I started this process a while back when I noticed that a mixture of Hydrochloric acid and Hydrogen Peroxide would oxidize or quite literally eat away at some of the knife leaving the most interesting patterns. Not one knife is ever the same.

I am currently working on the sheath for this knife and figured I would finally give an update as to what I've been up to lately.

Here's another knife I finished today.

This is a small neck knife. Smaller than any other I have constructed.

I like the hook tooth look to the blade. I also gave this knife an acid bath and some pretty neat designs came out afterward.

This one also has a sheath and is ready for wearing.
