Kitchen Cleaver For My Wife

I wanted to make a cleaver for my wife, as she didn't have something like this that was heavy and made for chopping. I cut it out, cleaned it up and gave it a nice sharp bevel. I then gave it an acid bath which brought out some nice, interesting textures.

I used a hardwood of some sort for the handle with hardened steel pins.

Well, she used it for our fish dinner and had no trouble whatsoever in cutting the salmon into steaks.
She loves it and the cleaver will serve her needs for may years to come.
