Forging a Hunting Knife With Ceramic Charcoal
I am working on a hunting knife and came across some ceramic charcoal the other day so I decided to try them out.
Unfortunately, with this sort of process, you only have one shot to say the right thing, and when you blow it, it's there forever.
What I am referring to is my mentioning porcelain charcoal instead of ceramic charcoal. Oh well...them's the breaks.
Anyway, the knife turned out well, and passed the hardness test. I did forget to give it a bevel first, as I was ramped to try the new charcoal, but no biggie.
The next few days will be filled with doing the bevel, the pin holes and the other assorted things I usually do to complete a knife.
