New Neck Knives Completed
Been busy lately. We were evacuated for almost a month, been sick and now I am trying to get back into the swing of things with some new knives. I wanted to try my hand at something a little different and came up with this knife. When I designed this knife, it reminded me of a fish. So I kept working at it and the idea of a Piranha came to me. I decided this would be one of the first in a new line of knives called my 'Piranha Knife Line'. Here's another picture of it finished. I really like how this one turned out. Notice the unique pattern on the blade. No, it's not Damascus Steel, but acid etching. I started this process a while back when I noticed that a mixture of Hydrochloric acid and Hydrogen Peroxide would oxidize or quite literally eat away at some of the knife leaving the most interesting patterns.
